Google vs. Yahoo Traffic Comparison

I am in both search engines and find that Google visitors are about 25/1 more than replies from Yahoo. I am in England and wonder if Yahoo (where I am number one)is a more States side search engine.
How do you find your visitors?.

It will also depend on your rankings. If you have better rankings in Yahoo than Google, then you would get more traffic from Yahoo. But generally Google here in US is over 30-40% of market and with them powering AOL, you are looking at 60-70% of the market. Yahoo is about 20-30% and MSN about 10-20%.

If you have equal ranking in both search engines, you will get about 9x more traffic from Google than Yahoo.

This is not true for everybody. I think more technical people tend to search on Google, so it may be true for tech related terms or industeries. However, most consumers use AOL or a basic service and have their homa pages set to Yahoo or MSN, in which case, they might search more on those engines.

This may be true in the Sates, but I do not think it is in the UK.

Now my site have more visitors from yahoo, because my website is optimised to yahoo search engine.So you can always choose from which search engine get a traffic

I think the general population uses Google now - However, I have noticed those interested more in finance and politics prefer Yahoo. Not sure if thats the way it is - just my personal observation. I have noticed my Yahoo traffic increases dramatically when I've been on Yahoo Answers. Een though the links are no follow, Yahoo does use them in their search results so it has a definite impact.

If you are going to take a closer look, it's arslan that doing that resurrections, making hundred posts with in weeks with his different accounts and not so different "hi thanks for nice information" message. Wondering what's the moderators response to this, just so annoying. T_T

Most of US and UK people would prefer Google than Yahoo. In some countries, Yahoo still preferred than Google.
