Keyword Stuffing

Post by Allan1 »

Keyword stuffing is the process of and excessive amount of keywords or keyword phrases in a page. This is usually done in meta tags or other hidde text so the user doesn’t notice the abuse. Search Engines are getting better and better in detecting keyword stuffing and they will ban a page if so. Even if you manage to mislead the search engine spiders, chances are your competitors will notice and report it to Google. So don’t do it, it’s not a good SEO technique.

Well said! As a rule of thumb, inserting keywords in the beginning and ending paragraph is enough to tell search engines what's your copy is all about.

Keyword stuffing is an unethical, blackhat seo tactic. It's a total no no. Your site will be penalized for doing that.

You have a high keyword density, then that can be almost keyword stuffing. Keyword density is about ratio/percentage. Keyword stuffing is if you or Google thinks you have too high a keyword density and it's unnatural and spammy. The percentage should vary from 1% to 3%. Whereas if a keyword repeatedly appears on a web page then it is called keyword stuffing.

Thanks a lot.

With the kind of changes taking place in algorithms, it is ideal to use 4-5 variations of your targeted keywords for a particular page. This should not only seem natural to humans but to search engines as well. So try to avoid stuffing keywords as much as possible. Be natural and make it easier for the live visitors to read the content over the webpage instead of making it look spammy.

Keyword Stuffing is a SEO technique. Using keywords many times in your web page is called Keyword Stuffing. It comes under black hat technique. This can effect your website in a negative way.

Below is a keyword stuffing example:

If you’re looking for tennis shoes, you’ve come to the right place. Our website is the best place to buy tennis shoes. You won’t find better tennis shoes or cheaper tennis shoes anywhere else. We invite you to check out our great selection of tennis shoes. :)

Keyword stuffing is the process of and excessive amount of keywords or keyword phrases in a page.
Below is a keyword stuffing example:

If you’re looking for tennis shoes, you’ve come to the right place. Our website is the best place to buy tennis shoes. You won’t find better tennis shoes or cheaper tennis shoes anywhere else. We invite you to check out our great selection of tennis shoes.Clearly, in this example, the website is trying to rank for the word tennis shoes. But in attempting to rank for this keyword, they may actually be doing more harm than good. Google and other search engines assign a keyword stuffing penalty to sites that over-optimize. If they didn’t, every website would simply try to include their keyword as much possible – much to the dismay of their readership!
