Yahoo and and gogle used different algorithm. That is the reason why you have a different results

The backlink is very important for yahoo.

You are right. If you have a strong backlink you will be ranked better in Yahoo. But google considers only quality backlinks.

And it really depends on how they displayed the results. Google displayed more accurately compared to Yahoo.

Not true at all, Google still looks at low quality links and scores it low as well.

Both have their own rules. For us to better reach high "yields", a good and quality links is the only key. Study the system of the two and you will see it's only pointing to one direction.

That is why google brings more visitors. Knowing the mystery of google algorithm seems to be more important.

knowing that Google is most widely use SE..more chances to get organic traffic from this engine compared to yahoo...

I have been playing around with my title tag and have watched my page move dramatically on Yahoo. It has moved from page 2 to page 5 just by changing the title tag. Getting listed on Yahoo seems to be pretty easy compared to Google. I am not sure the Yahoo is even that relevant in this Google era, I don't know many people that use it (Yahoo) as a primary search engine. I agree that optimizing for Google is more important.

The title of your website must contain your major keywords. The title is the biggest ranking factor of Yahoo's raking algorithm.

What does Google consider a quality backlink? I guess the obvious answer would be the higher the PR the better quality the link. I am not sure if that is really the case though. If Yahoo thinks a link is good does that mean Google will think that as well?
