To get index faster your site need authority back-links. Good quality content. Easy navigation and structure. Simple and clear URL naming.

I registered my site on bing several days ago now using a sitemap :

www.justkrissi.com

How long would I expect to have to wait before it's indexed?

Sometimes it takes time to get your site index, but you can submit it to Bing Webmaster Tools, and keep adding content to the site, the spiders like new content and when that happens indexing is faster.

I thing,indexing your website you can use unique and relevant content for your site. and get good backlink for your website and you can do also make on page work for your site this will be very effecting for your website. and off page work like directory submission and article submission.

It has taken forever for my site to get indexed on bing too. Allready on Google with tons on backlinks on webmaster tools.

If your content is really good then it automatically indexing in all search engines. You should keep in mind that your content must not be duplicate and easily you get indexed your page. Your site is seo friendly. It's working.
