Can anybody please tell me how exactly does a keyword affect the entire page rank of a certain website? I have been hearing all about this before but I don't get it. The theory of Keyword density is very simple.
You can count it from own way also...But it is difficult to count without tool.

Keyword density is one of the important thing in SEO. If you add one keyword again and again in your site content then it is called a spamming. I don't know the exact limit but there are certain ration for keyword and you can not use the keyword more then that ration.

1) Create a keyword list.

3) Pick your keywords and use them on your web site. You really want to boil it down to a list of the 3-5 most important individual words, and then a list of the top keywords and phrases that you will use on your website. I usually like to focus on the top 30 terms from the spreadsheet. You should use the keywords in the page titles, the URLs, the page metadata and the text on the page itself.
