Domain Redirecting - Please Help

Post by amSportsTalk »

I own four domains I point to the main domain.
main; www.amsportstalk.com
I point these;
www.majorsportstalk.com
www.worldwidesportsfourm.com
www.amsportsforum.com

does this hurt me in pr?
is this good or bad idea to have these names pointing to this one site?
thanks

When doing a redirect, you should make sure it's a 301 permanent redirect. This essentially tells the search engines that address 'a' has permanently moved to address 'b.'

Check with your webmaster to find out how the domains are being forwarded. If it's anything but 301, have them update it to 301.

Why not.....

Why not use all four seperately! You can slightly vary the titles, and layout order and keywords. Then link them by 'daisy-chain'. This gives incoming - rather than reciprocal - links which weigh heavier, and gives you extra keywords, or keyword positions. It should only take a few minutes of 'cut and paste', and in my view would be more advantageous for you. (And you see which design is more successful.)
