Meta keywords is perhaps less important these days....make sure your meta description is different on every page, otherwise you'll find your pages in the Supplemental Index.

Also I was wondering - Does the META description tag have to be completely different on each page or would it suffice just to change one or two words?

Maybe a stupid question but I'm a Noob here.

I have a few questions about meta tags.
Are keyword phrases ok to use?
like if you sell something like flat bed sanders.
can you use these keywords.
sanders,flatbed sanders,flatbed,
was just wondering if 2 keywords is ok to use.
Meta keywords is perhaps less important these days....make sure your meta description is different on every page, otherwise you'll find your pages in the Supplemental Index.
i run an auction website and the description is wrote into the scripts, and when i add a new category it auto puts that same description in.
so if you are right then i will need to do something about this.

Different metatag analyzers show different results because they're created differently. The scripts and algorithms of such tools are not the same.
