I have tried to put my sites on google sitemaps but keep getting a error report saying robot.txt not found anyone have any ideas

Try to upload your robots.txt in your webserver main directory.

Try to upload .xml format. And put remember to upload to your directory. Try to use this site to general .xml sitemap.
