Domain names-what do i do with them?

If i have multiple domains that I own, what is the best way to utilize these to help my sites ranking and exposure?

1)redirect each domain to my main site?
2)create a site for each domain and link back as an affiliate?
3)something else?

redirection can make your other sites less important..
can you tell us what your site is?

Depending on where you register them, if you do noting with it someone has parked it and is making money off of it. I would forward them to a site or put your own ads on it.
