Need advise!! Career in SEO....

Hello everybody,,,
Just completed my B.Tech in june2008...
i am working as a SEO trainee since 4 months but am not very sure about carrer in SEO...
I am geting no advise from any known as no body in my network know wt is it...
I m from India....i have done all the offpage tasks like (directory submission, article submission, blog setup nd post, forum poting, coment posting, Social Bookmarking) a little of smo...
Just started on page with Keyword research nd competitor analysis...

my comapny is not paying much,,otheres are discussing that there is good money in SEO...bt i am not geting how to make that money...
ya you can optimise your own website and earn through advertisement....
or start your own work....
But i am not in a posision to invest....So please tell me how to earn the money people are talking about...

Essentially it needs time and probably some money to invest.
If you are good at positioning websites I recommend you to buy a good name, build something commercially attractive, apply your knowledge and own and run a successful business.

It takes a while to see the profit. But any service currently being sold outside the Internet (and with a good gross margin) is ideal: tourism for example.

Many small hotels do not sell through the Web. Some have real cheap not very good positioned web-pages. There you may have a chance. Build a portal, position the website and collect a fee for every sale you perform.

It's just an idea. I hope it results useful.
