Landing Pages and PPC

Do you think Landing Pages are important to converting PPC?

We are interviewing someone to start a ppc campaign for one of our sites and they want to build a lot of these, and it seems like a bulk of the money is spent on these as well

Yes they are. If someone is looking for something very specific then make it as easy for them as possible and they won't bounce.

landing pages are very important both for conversion and also to get a good quality score in adwords at least.

I believe they are very important. You won't have good conversion if not for the importance of these landing pages.

Surely for quality score quality landing pages are very important. Actually there should be a complete relevancy among keywords, ads and the content on the landing page. If it is not maintained then certainly you are going to lower your ROI.

landing pages are important for quality score (which saves you money on your clicks). they are also extremely important for conversions.

Yes, it is important specially on adwords. if your homepage doesn't have keyword rich content, or doesn't have enough space to put contents for you to increase your Quality score and impressions, you need to create a landing page where in all the targeted keywords are there so your quality score would increase as well your impressions. the conversion code should also put on landing page so you would tract what are the best performing keywords on your campaign.
