can any one tell me what are the criteria foe a quality backlink & how can i get these type of links.

the criteria for a quality backlink is a site that is related to your site, with quality content, with real products and services, with attractive design, with page rank and site that generate traffic or sales. you get these through search engine.

The linking site's theme is the same as your website
The linking site links to you with the keyword/s that you are optimizing
You can get this links thru directory submission and search engine..search for related sites by typing any of these:
"Suggest link" +"your keyword(s)"
"Suggest a link" +"your keyword(s)"
"Suggest site" + "your keyword(s)"
"Suggest a site" + "your keyword(s)"
"Suggest URL" +"your keyword(s)"
"Suggest a URL" +"your keyword(s)"
"your main keyword phrase" + links

Quality backlinks means a link from most relavent site.Having good PR and good contect aswell.

quality Backlinks means links from a site which is relevent to your site and has quality content, good design and good page rank.

Links must be related to your site and it must not be blacklisted from SEs

As parusa said it depend on relevance link of course it must be listed indexed by Google.

You can find related websites, contact the webmaster in professional way, then you have chance to get backlinks from them

Do you mean blacklisted from Google?
To check blacklist for other reason, I know one site called senderbase.org

I've noticed some links to my site because I've used the website address in my profile. Some suggest that use of your website address on your posts (your signature) for all to see isn't good. Why not ?
Also, if the forum is unrelated to your product, will the link be useless?
