Alot of people say you should not put your link in directories as google and others etc, now frown upon their use, because people have abused the heck out of them.

So what is the real deal? Should we use Directory services, or run away from them?

I was about to run my own Directory for my users, but after reading a few items, I removed it, as I did not want banned from google.

Directory is really good source of one-way link. They are still helpful in our site.

Directory submisisons is still a good seo technique for getting one way link and google consider it.so dont worry about it and get backlinks form directory by submitting to relevent category.

Through directory submission we receive back links and google considers these links when giving the page rank. Directory submission play nice role in back links and page rank.
