I submitted a site to Dmoz and I could see after a couple of weeks in my stats that an editor was busy checking my site out.

Unfortunately it was not accepted.

I tried again with another site and I am waiting.

forget about DMOZ, it is crazy, some sites already dead but still get listed while there are thousand of other good websites are on rejected - all editors of dmoz are also dead

Forget DMOZ they are a waste of time there are plenty of quality links out there that are much easier to submit to.

Being a new webmaster this is dissapointing news. Oh well, when I get my site done, I will submit and see what happens.

There is no such thing as fast or if it ever gets listed with DMOZ.. just submit and then walk away... try every year after that if you want..?
I try every now and then still no listing..
