Does anyone suggest submitting Dogpile search engine directory? Is worth paying for the submission? Any help is appreciated.

If you have good budget and your site is new then it's OK , but i suggest have some reviews about it at webmasterworld.
I personally concentrate more on free/regular directories, there are thousands ....

Thanks guys! I really appreciate it. One reason I hesitate to submit on free directories is that they request reciprocal link. If you want one way link you have to pay a fee. The only directory I paid is Yahoo directory that is very much worth it. I think it the best investment I've made. Do you guys know free directories that they don't require reciprocal links?

It's your opinion but for me I still prefer to submit my site to free directories. In paid directories, you site maybe featured but does not guarantee that you can get lost of traffic.

I dont think link to directory is a good method, some directories are link farms,if you linked to them, your number on the google woule be lower.

As for me, I give high priorities to directories with high PR. I don't give much of my time in directory submission. :D

no because Google will detect that and they will penalize your site.

I think you should concentrate yourself for free quality backlinks.

because for paid links if google notice you then you can penalized by them.

Keep in mind all SEs love natural link building not paid.

Thanks :)

The best link directory.

As far as I know, the best directory is DMOZ. Submission to DMOZ is absolutely free, however, getting included in this directory is very very difficult. You must wait at least a few months before even getting listed. Be patient as this may be worthwhile.
