Yes, if you site is acepted by many major search engine like yahoo, it will only benefi the ranking. I going to use their directory also

It depends on what your selling. Why don`t you try the dmoz for a starter?

No ,better submit to Dmoz.But mostly the traffic will come to you from google.I get 70% of clients from google itself.

It's true that get listed in Yahoo directory will benefit a lot of things. But the question is: Worth to pay $299 annually? In my opinion is, why not get listed in DMOZ, they are free of charge...

DMOZ is free, but impossible to get listed. Editors take forever to review sites and have strict criteria for accepting anything new. My suggestion is to submit to DMOZ and pray to get in, but if you have the $$$ then pay to get in Yahoo as well.

I think it's well worth being in the Yahoo! directory, I've seen a large increase in Yahoo rankings following inclusion and it certainly can't do any harm in Google too!
