Hi,can anybody tell me the main difference between SEO and SEM !What is the difference of their work.

As name suggested,SEO means optimisation of search engine whereas SEM means marketing or promotion of your with respect to search engine.They both are different but connected with each other.

Both are using to optimize your site. But SEM is costly or SEO is free of cost you have done.

SEO = Search Engine Optimisation - Natural rankings, link building, Anchor Text Links, Etc

SEM - Search Engine Marketing - This incorporates SEO as this option covers all aspects of seach engine marketing including PPC (or CPC), Affiliates, Banner Advertising, Article submission, etc, etc. Anything to gain traffic to your site.

SEO is an organic way to rank your keywords in Search engines while SEM is paid service provided by the search engine. If you want long lasting benefits of traffic from search engines SEO is better option.

Seo=search engine optimizaion
Sem=search engine marketing
the first one is about growing your site on google or other search engines, the second one is more abow traffic growing
