We get a little of our traffic from Twitter, it's not too much but it's enough that we won't get rid of our account.

I know that some local businesses do well through facebook pages and online business do well with facebook due to promotions and news that people look forward to getting.

Being active in social media doesn't guarantee you to get decent traffic from visitors. What you can do is to keep on interacting with the community and try to reach out. :lol:

Use a Facebook Page to market your products and services. Since a Facebook Page is public, you will be visible to search engines.

Invite your friends and build your Facebook Page's fan base. Add a Faceboom Page Fan Box widget to your website's home pae.

Update your fans from time to time about your events/promos/activities.

Facebook offers a PPC advertising campaign. It's a good way to boost site traffic and you can make your ads as targeted as possible.
