Hi! Honestly, I think SEO is extremely important for both large and small businesses, but for very different reasons. Large businesses do not need to worry about people "discovering" them via an internet query- they already have an established and well-known brand. In this case, social media is used to enhance their image and become more connected with their fan base. In addition to those uses, small companies should additionally be using SEO to create awareness, and bring new customers to their website. I read in an article (http://contentlead.com/blog/using-socia ... ter-growth) that "91 percent of hyper-growth businesses are using social media to generate more awareness about their companies." Thats a lot of growth!
