Keyword themes

How far away can you stray from your key words. For example my business is a graphic design business can i use computer as a keyword would this get me traffic to my site.

Hi.
Computer is attractive keyword that can create traffic to your site but it is common
keyword. I think you should choose one unique keyword that shows that your site
is about graphic design.

my approach would be to find the most relevant keywords to describe my business and to sumbit the ones that don't have that much comptetition

your keyword should be related to your site. You won't rank high on the keyword you choose because its not related.

Choose keywords that are very related to your niche as much as possible. Focus on graphic design-specific keywords, not general ones like computer.

Only well established site can do that, for example squidoo & hubpages.

I think absorption on just one subject, will be more good,

It is very simple: if you want to generate immediate traffic you must go with the most relevant keywords and if you want to build a brand then go with the more general keywords.

I agree that unique keywords that relate to the service that you would like to advertise is what works the best. Owning the market in the unique keywords is the way to go. Try and get something that fits you well and create your site to optimize that word.

I think google has given everyone what are the related keywords by showing you in the magic wheel

You should start with long-tail keywords of three to four words. Focusing on two-word keywords is a long uphill battle against well-established competitors.

Build top page rankings for the long-tail keyword first so that your battle will be much easier.
