There are many write-ups about keywords selection and keywords selection tools, so selecting the most appropriate keywords is no more a major task. But does the present density of keywords in the page content also matter in SEO efforts?

Don't get too concerned about keyword density. It's just a myth. Just write your article naturally, then insert your desired keywords in one or two of the sentences.

Keyword density is not the proper ficus in SEO. The right keywords that direct into the site is the proper goal.

Well, I personally ignore "keyword density"... just make sure that you can put some juice in your article.

I give it a tiny bit of weight or consideration when doing SEO just so that I know not to have the site over optimized but if you're making it natural sounding you will not have that problem

shubh, don't get too concerned with SEO. It will bring you more visitors, but selling is eventually more important. Make sure everything contributes to the end result you want to get. If you can't use your keyword 15 times throughout the page, don't worry about it.
If I were you, I'd try to use it at least once in the beginning and once at the end of the text, but I'd rather focus on delivering high quality content in between.

Keyword Density is the percentage of occurrence of your keywords to the text in the rest of your webpage.
It is important for your main keywords to have the correct keyword density to rank well in Search Engines.
Noramlly 5% will be good!

Keyword density is a factor you should not be concerned about, really. Just write your article naturally. Focus on making your article as unique as possible.
