Classifed posting is a good way to promote products and services. However, ads posted in most classified ad sites expire after a certain period of time.

Online add posting is meant for traffic, but just temporary.

There may be different views because of different results. Personally I think that online posting is a practice just to crate awareness about the existence among the customers, traders and competitors. But it hardly deliver any results in SEO practice.

I am absolutely agree with your thoughts, that online add posting is just a fake nothing more than this, and also Google is not providing any importance, one important way to do off page work is that go with natural link building to stay up to date.

Online ad posting is a way to get greater exposure to the internet community.
There are in all 2 types of ads namely
text ad
display ad
Secondly the ad are displayed in areas
search engines and display networks
Ads displayed in search engines are text ads whereas ads displayed in display networks relate to image ads or display ads
Ads are displayed either in search engines or display networks using google adwords tool
