I agree, those that are looking for the quick approvals though don't care about the traffic, only the backlink that comes with it. My concern with the quick approval directories and such is that you will find shortly that you are allowing them to use your content for themselves and remove all links, or that you will be linked in with a spam site, especially now since google has changed the algorithm.

I have seen some folks getting backlinks from article directories, but I do not believe that it is worth the time to "articles" and to publish them only to get a link posted in any web page.
